The season is in full swing, and our - and in many ways your - UCI World Cup is preparing to enter one of the most iconic chapters of the marathon calendar.

Following the thrilling battles of the opening rounds, the 2026 HERO UCI Cross-country Marathon World Cup heads to the heart of Germany, where the 26th edition of the legendary Black Forest ULTRA Bike Marathon will take place on 26 July.

Nestled at the gateway to the Black Forest, Kirchzarten is much more than just a race venue: it is one of the cradles of European mountain biking, where every trail tells a story of passion, heritage and adventure. Between green valleys, endless forests and demanding climbs, MTB is in the air at every turn. If you have been here before, you'll want to come back. If you have never experienced it, now is the time to change that.

The Black Forest ULTRA Bike Marathon is one of those races that leaves a lasting impression: 118 km in length with 3,550 metres of elevation gain. The course winds its way around Mount Feldberg (1,492 m), the symbol of the region and the highest peak in the mountain range.

A true marathon challenge for those who love the pure essence of mountain biking.
