NATURLAND–ANDORRA 2026: WHERE THE PYRENEES TOUCH THE SKY
Dear HEROes,
The HERO UCI Cross-country Marathon World Cup is revving its engines and heading straight for the wild heart of the Pyrenees. The Naturland–Andorra stage is far more than a race: it is a test of pure endurance at altitudes where the air thins and the landscape becomes legend.
THE COURSE: A HIGH-VOLTAGE LOOP For the 2026 edition, the track features an exciting new format: a technical loop of approximately 25 km to be completed three times. A first for the World Cup circuit, this setup transforms the race into a gripping challenge of rhythm and steady nerves.
- The Ascent: From the Naturland Bike Center, you will climb to the 2,157-meter peak of Roca de Pimes, skimming the ridges of Les Pedrusques at an altitude of 2,222 meters, right on the border between Andorra and Spain.
- The Descent: A long, technical plunge into the Riu d’Aubinya valley will lead you toward the lowest point near Juberri.
- The Wall: Here begins the true test of strength—a 13 km steady climb toward La Rabassa, with average gradients of 5.6% and peaks that bite the legs at 14%.
After completing three laps and a final 5 km "kick," you will have conquered 73 kilometers and 2,200 meters of elevation gain.
IT’S NOT JUST KILOMETERS, IT’S RHYTHM In Andorra, the invisible enemy is the altitude. Managing energy above two thousand meters while maintaining focus on rocky singletracks will be the key to success. Victory won’t just go to the fastest, but to those who can best adapt to a wild and unpredictable terrain.
MORE THAN A RACE: THE NATURLAND BIKE SHOW Naturland is not only about elite competition. The race is the beating heart of the Naturland Bike Show, a true festival dedicated to our community, featuring activities, entertainment, and an electric atmosphere for both riders and spectators.
The Pyrenees are waiting. Are you ready to write history?
